Big games are on the docket, and there are playoff implications now!

Last week was a ho-hum week, winning two of my picks and losing the other two. That said, one of the wins put my stash in very good position, so that’s nice. I expected a comfortable win from the Nittany Lions, but I didn’t expect for them to embarrass the Terps at their own house yet again. Iowa suffocated Middle Tennessee State from start to finish, so that was an easy cover. Let’s not talk about Ohio State/Nebraska and Cal/Arizona State.

Picks

Michigan State +20 @ Ohio State - The last time the Spartans visited Ohio Stadium, they left with a big fat 45-point loss. I don’t think that’s going to happen again this year. I expect THE Buckeyes to win comfortably, but three touchdowns is a bit much for this Michigan State defense. $100

Iowa ML (+162) @ Michigan - The Hawkeyes have won five of the last six meetings against the Wolverines, and I don’t see that trend changing. Sure, Jim Harbaugh is allegedly letting Josh Gattis take more of the reins of the offense after the Wisconsin debacle, but ultimately, the type of offense Jimmy wants to run is exactly the one my boy Kirk Ferentz was put on this earth to stop. Iowa makes it six out of seven. $100

Wisconsin -35 (-115) vs Kent State - We’re going to chalk last week’s offensive outing against Northwestern as it being a typical Wisconsin/Northwestern game. I think the Badgers get back on track against one of the worst teams in FBS. $115
