After blowing most everyone out this season, quarterback Micah Bowens and the Bishop Gorman Gaels season came to an end in the Nevada State Playoffs in a 30-24 overtime loss. In the loss Bowens was 11/20 for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, as he did all he could to will his team to victory.

Defensive lineman Amin Vanover also saw his prep career come to an end this past weekend. Following a 10-8 loss against Don Bosco Prep, Vanover and the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights season came to an end in the New Jersey Catholic League Playoffs. Vanover recorded 5 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and a quarterback hurry in the loss.

One future Nittany Lion that was successful over the weekend was defensive tackle Cole Brevard. Brevard had 5 tackles, including one for a loss, as the Carmel Greyhounds picked up a 38-17 victory over Merrillville High School to advance to the Indiana State Finals.

Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert and the Maury Commodores were also victorious. Lambert caught a touchdown pass and returned a fumble 67-yards for a score in a 64-8 victory for the Commodores who continue to march on the Virginia State Playoffs.

While his season is over, offensive lineman commit Nick Dawkins released his senior highlights on Monday. Dawkins will need to refine his body and work on his technique, but he is already a physical, nasty blocker.
