Penn State has opened as a 6.5-point favorite against the Minnesota Gophers. The two 8-0 squads will meet on Nov. 9 following a bye week for both schools this upcoming weekend.

Minnesota has been one of the biggest surprises of the college football season by starting with an 8-0 record and climbing to #13 in the AP Poll. They will be searching for their first marquee win of the season against #5 Penn State, as the Gophers have not played a ranked opponent thus far, and faced just two teams with a current winning record — Illinois and Georgia Southern, both with five wins. Its Big Ten victories include Purdue, Illinois, Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland.

This will be the first meeting between the programs since 2016, when Penn State escaped with a dramatic 29-26 overtime victory at Beaver Stadium. The game included a remarkable last-minute drive to force overtime, and ultimately launched Penn State’s memorable Big Ten championship.

Penn State and Minnesota will kickoff at noon EST on Nov. 9, with the game being televised on ABC.

When it comes to Penn State and the online betting world, they’re currently sitting with the seventh-best odds to win a National Championship.
