Cam Sullivan-Brown Withdraws From NCAA Transfer Portal

Take that, portal!

NCAA Football: Penn State Blue White Game Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

After landing Florida State grad transfer George Campbell last week, Penn Staters have some more positive transfer portal news to celebrate, as Cam Sullivan-Brown withdrew his name from the portal and will remain in Happy Valley, according to Lions 247.

Obviously, this is excellent news for James Franklin, as his wide receiver corps could use all the depth and experience it can get. Cam did see action in all of PSU’s games last season, so at this juncture, he is one of the more “veteran” receivers in the group.

That being said, he will have to fight very hard to crack the starting lineup, given the return of KJ Hamler, Jahan Dotson, and a newly healthy Justin Shorter. At the very least, he will be a critical body who can be thrown into the game when one of the starters needs a breather, and also be utilized on special teams.

Welcome back, Cam!
