NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Maryland vs Xavier Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Let the Madness Begin! Today is the day you’ve been waiting for...the first full day of March Madness. Here’s hoping you’re using a well-earned vacation day, or at least have some type of super-secret plan to catch the action without anyone at work being the wiser.

But while we wait and hope for Penn State to go dancing one of these years, the best dynasty in college athletics begins its attempt to win its eighth national championship in nine years. Is there a word stronger than ‘dynasty’? We may need to invent one for Cael and the men who keep piling up national titles for Dear Old State. Keep your eye on the stream as we continue our in-depth coverage of Penn State Wrestling as they attempt to add to the trophy case.

Forever a Lion Saquon Barkley became a very rich man after being selected second in the 2018 NFL Draft and then taking the NFL by storm. But he’s not above crashing on his buddy’s couch when making the trek back to State College. Barkley remains the ultimate teammate, showing up to Penn State’s Pro Day to spend the day cheering on all the Nittany Lions who are hoping to join him in the NFL. Barkley also had to say his farewells to a teammate, which for at least the immediate future, will likely make his job much tougher. If you’re wondering what the Giants plan is to build around Barkley, don’t expect a satisfying answer any time soon.

A New Era Former Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell was yet the latest player to gain immediate eligibility, following his transfer to Miami. After all of the waivers granted to other high-profile transfers during the offseason, it sure seems that the era of college football free agency is approaching rapidly on the horizon.

Breaking Through One of the major joys of being a college football fan is to see a player who was relatively unknown in August become a must-watch, otherworldly talent emerge out of seemingly nowhere. Bleacher Report thinks running back Ricky Slade is one of those players set to shock the college football world in 2019. Based on his ability to make a quick cut and kick it into another gear, I’m inclined to agree with the folks from BR on this one.

Woke Up, Fell Out of Bed, Ran a Comb Across My Head The NCAA released a hilariously inaccurate “Day in the Life” video of a student-athlete. Plenty of former and current college athletes were quick to call BS on the whole misleading piece of marketing.

Things You Will Never Believe for $800, Alex Here’s a starling piece of in formation- apparently the oddsmakers and pundits believe Michigan will be quite good in the upcoming season. Vegas is picking them as favorites in all of their major regular season games, suggesting an undefeated campaign could be on the horizon. In fairness, Michigan did take a major step forward by finishing second in the division in 2018.
