Penn State will officially take on the Michigan Wolverines in the 16th annual Whiteout Game at Beaver Stadium in 2019. The school announced the official decision via a release regarding student tickets for the 2019 season.

The October 19 matchup between the Nittany Lions and Wolverines will be the sixth time in Whiteout history that the two teams have met. Michigan’s six appearances in Whiteouts will be the most after this season with Ohio State just one behind with five appearances. The two Big Ten East powerhouses have traded spots every since 2012. The last Whiteout opponent not named Michigan or Ohio State was Alabama in 2011.

The last time Michigan came to Beaver Stadium for a Whiteout was 2017 when the Nittany Lions dominated the Wolverines en route to a 42-13 victory over the then No.19 ranked Wolverines. Overall, the Nittany Lions are 3-2 against the Wolverines in Whiteout games. The Nittany Lions will look for revenge in 2019 after the Wolverines drubbed them 42-7 this past season.

The Nittany Lions will also take on Idaho (8/31), Buffalo (9/7), Pittsburgh (9/14), Purdue (10/5), Indiana (11/16), and Rutgers (11/30) at home this upcoming season. They’ll take their talents to Maryland (9/27), Iowa (10/12), Michigan State (10/26), Minnesota (11/9), and Ohio State (11/23) in the process.
