Detroit Lions Draft Amani Oruwariye

NCAA Football: Kent State at Penn State Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Penn State defensive back Amani Oruwariye has found his NFL home.

Oruwariye was selected by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round with the 146th pick overall

The Tampa Bay native was a starter for the Nittany Lions the last two seasons and turned himself into an All-Big Ten caliber player. His length is ideal for an NFL defensive back in a league where wideouts are getting bigger and bigger.

Best of luck to Amani on a long and productive NFL career!
