The wait is finally over as the top-seeded Nittany Lions begin their quest towards a national championship with a home date against a UMBC team that has caught fire as of late and continued that stretch with a 14-8 win over Marist in the NCAA play-in game this past Wednesday. Apologies if you were expecting a preview, but none of us are knowledgable enough about lacrosse to do more than just say that Mac O’Keefe is going to score a bunch of goals with Grant Ament assisting on all of them, and that UMBC has a recent history of toppling No. 1 seeds in NCAA Tournaments so hopefully, Jeff Tambroni’s squad is not taking them lightly (SPOILER ALERT: They probably aren’t).
