Five-star wide receiver Julian Fleming now knows when his recruitment will end. On May 31st, the Southern Columbia star will announce his college decision between Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Penn State.

While it was always going to be a fight, the Nittany Lions appeared to be the comfortable leaders for Fleming throughout just about the entirety of his recruitment. So much so that this past fall he was at every home game except for three. He also continued to pop up on campus on a near weekly basis throughout the winter months and into the early spring.
Unfortunately, for the past month or so Fleming has been trending away from the Nittany Lions. With a strong showing on the field this fall, especially from the wide receivers, Penn State could always still land an official visit from Fleming. However, it appears they’re going to receive a major body blow at the end of the month.
BIG 2021 VISITOR ON CAMPUS
Sunday afternoon, 2021 offensive lineman Nolan Rucci made the trip to campus. The Penn State legacy was on campus for the men’s lacrosse game. During the game, James Franklin made sure to pay the Rucci family a visit.
Great win today for @PennStateMLAX Thanks @coachjfranklin for coming by and sitting through the rain! #WeAre ⚪️ pic.twitter.com/RDe86NXUJI

Rucci is the top ranked in-state offensive linemen for the 2021 cycle, and one of the top offensive linemen in the country. He also resides at the top of Penn State’s 2021 offensive line big board. While the Nittany Lions are the leaders for the legacy recruit, it never hurts to get him on campus and around the coaching staff.
MICAH BOWENS AT THE OPENING REGIONAL
Offer the weekend, quarterback commit Micah Bowens competed at the Oakland Opening Regional. Bowens would go on to have an impressive showing at the camp.
It went up in the Bay today!! Big numbers from some big names and overall 3⃣9⃣ go ➕ - here's the top unofficial Football Ratings from testing @TheOpening Oakland regional! pic.twitter.com/xLi9q7eP7k

The future Nittany Lion quarterback has had a great offseason. He has watched his 247 Sports composite ranking rise over 500 spots since the end of his junior seasons. With showings like this one, that rating will only continue to rise. Penn State has a good one in Bowens.
NEW 2020 WIDE RECEIVER OFFER
On Friday, Penn State offered Canadian wide receiver Malick Megia.
Truly bless to receive an offer from Penn State University! Thanks to @GeradParker1 @mark_dup pic.twitter.com/FNu98YE7yR
— Malick Meiga (@malick_meiga) May 10, 2019
Meiga has blown up of late receiving Power 5 offers from Louisville, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia, in addition to Penn State, in recent months. The Nittany Lions do not have a wide receiver commit in their 2020 class and have had success in recent years with Canadian players such as Daniel Joseph, Jesse Luketa, and Jonathan Sutherland. So, moving forward, Meiga could be a name worth monitoring for Nittany Lion fans.
