This marks the second transfer for Jones, a 6-foot-4 guard from Richmond, Virginia. The former top-100 prospect began his career at Indiana and played two years for the Hoosiers before transferring to Oklahoma State.
He played one season in Stillwater where he averaged 8.1 points per game on 32.5 percent from beyond the arc. Jones also averaged three rebounds and one assist per game.
With the departure of Rasir Bolton to Iowa State, the Nittany Lions were suddenly thin in regards to backcourt depth.
The addition of Jones gives them a seasoned veteran who can play either guard spot and create a bit off the dribble.
Jones will likely compete with rising sophomore Myreon Jones (no relation) for the starting spot alongside Myles Dread.
