HIGHLIGHTS
THE TALE
The tale for Dottin and Penn State is a long one considering that this pre-write had been sitting in our backend since last July. While many expected Dottin to be one of the first members of the 2020 class, he took his time and weighed his options. During that time though, it always seemed like Penn State was the leader, and that proved correct earlier tonight when Dottin became commitment No. 11 for the Nittany Lions.
OUTLOOK
Dottin is a good player, as he has really good size and length at 6-foot-3, displays good body control in the air, and for being such a young receiver, is already apt at running crisp routes. He has a thin frame, so he’ll obviously need to get stronger. He’s also not the fastest receiver in the world — he clocked a 4.88 40 at the Nike camp in April — but still projects as a really good No. 2 possession receiver.
