THE TALE

Taylor received his offer from Penn State back in March and took his first visit to State College, an unofficial visit, on March 23. That initial visit put the Nittany Lions in a good position to land Taylor, but he continued to look elsewhere. He returned to Penn State on June 21 for his official visit and not long after made the call to commit.

OUTLOOK

Much like Coziah Izzard, Taylor is listed as a strong side defensive end but at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds heading into his senior year of high school, it’s possible that he grows into a 3-technique defensive tackle down the line. However, when you watch his film it’s apparent that he has fantastic burst and great quickness for his size. Should he maintain those attributes while putting on the weight many expect he well, he could very well stay at the strong side defensive end position opposite a speed rusher like Adisa Isaac.
