HIGHLIGHTS

THE TALE

Parker Washington was offered by Penn State in February, which immediately made the Nittany Lions players in his recruitment. After unofficially visiting campus in the spring, he returned for an official visit June 18th-20th. On this official visit, the Nittany Lions separated themselves from the pack, and landed his commitment just a few weeks later.

OUTLOOK

Washington is one of the more underrated wide receivers in the 2020 cycle. Last season he was insanely productive in the highest level of Texas High School Football, racking up 1,486 receiving yards and scoring 21 total touchdowns. He was also invited to participate in The Opening Finals.

All of the tools needed to be a terror in the slot are there for Washington. He’s quick off the ball, runs crisp routes, has soft hands, and is an absurd athlete. Back in March, Washington laid down a Nike SPARQ rating of 125.70 (highlighted by a 38-inch vertical) which was among the best scores in the country. So while Washington may not have elite size at 5-foot-10, the skill and athleticism is there.
