A month ago most thought Ellison Jordan wouldn’t be on the Nittany Lion roster in 2019, but both he and the team have confirmed his continued status as a member of the defensive line.
The redshirt junior from Upper Marlboro, Maryland committed to the Blue and White as a consensus four-star recruit from the prestigious Gilman School. After redshirting in 2016, Jordan appeared in seven games in 2017, including two tackles against both Georgia State and Indiana, and a sack against Maryland. He played in just three games last season, causing a safety against Pitt, and recording a sack against Kent State. Jordan sustained a knee injury that caused him to miss the rest of the season, but he should be back at full strength in 2019.
