Despite graduating, former Penn State wrestler Bo Nickal continues to reel in the accolades.

On Wednesday, Nickal was named the 2018-19 Jesse Owens Male Athlete of the Year in the Big Ten.

Nickal adds this to his third national championship and the Dan Hodge Trophy, given annually to the nation’s top wrestler.

The Allen, Texas product was undefeated on the year and lost just three matches throughout his college career.

He joins former wrestler David Taylor (2014) and men’s gymnast Luis Vargas (2005) as Nittany Lions to win the award.
