The summer is flying by and college football will be here before we know! On this beautiful Tuesday, we’re just 53 days away from Penn State Football. With that, today we spotlight an offensive lineman who figures to be one of Penn State’s key lineman for the next three years, Rasheed Walker.
Walker was one of Penn State’s big recruiting wins in the 2018 recruiting class, picking the Lions over 26 other scholarship offers including his home-State Maryland Terrapins and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
As a freshman, Walker had quite the season. On the field, Walker appeared in four games and for the most part looked the part of a highly-touted offensive lineman but also he looked like a true freshman at times. The building blocks are there for Walker and he oozes with potential.
In 2019, Walker has the chance to find himself with some serious playing time depending on his development. While he projects to being a potential All-Big Ten caliber lineman but he must prove he’s ready to be an anchor of the Lions offensive line in this year’s fall camp.
The 6-foot-6, 314-pound lineman has yet to declare a major. He’ll get his first chance to play in his home state this September when the Nittany Lions travel to College Park on Friday, September 27.
