You may not remember too much about Billy Fessler’s career in State College, but it’s a name college football fans are likely to hear for years to come.
Fessler contributed as the team’s holder and backup quarterback during his time at Penn State. He didn’t see too much time at quarterback, completing one of his two attempts for eight yards as a Nittany Lion. Fessler always impressed teammates and staff with his knowledge of the game, which has led to a current position on the Missisippi State coaching staff, where he teamed up with his former offensive coordinator at Penn State, Joe Moorhead. Fessler’s star in the coaching world is off to a quick rise, as he was recently named to 247Sports’ 30Under30 Rising Stars. In fact, the 23 year-old Fessler was the youngest member of the esteemed group of coaches.
Billy’s younger brother, Henry Fessler, is a current walk-on wide receiver at Penn State, and will be entering his redshirt freshman season in 2019.
Only 16 more days until the start of a new Penn State Football season!
