Only Keaton Ellis Until Penn State Football

We are now just two (2!) days out from the start of the 2019 Penn State football season.

The Nittany Lions will take the field at Beaver Stadium on Saturday for a 3:30 kickoff with the Fightin’ Spuds of Idaho.

Today’s player of the day is true freshman Keaton Ellis, who should make his Penn State debut on Saturday.

Ellis is a State College product and was one of the top defensive back prospects in the country in 2019. His combination of length and athleticism makes him a prime candidate to be a future start on the outside at cornerback. He also has the ball skills that he could end up playing safety at some point down the road.

Ellis was listed as the backup corner to John Reid on the first depth chart released by Penn State on Tuesday.
