Only DJ Brown Until Penn State Football

Just two-dozen days until kickoff!

DJ Brown

DJ Brown was the first defensive back to commit to Penn State’s 2017 recruiting class. Other defensive backs in that class such as Lamont Wade, Tariq Castro-Fields, and Donovan Johnson have seen the field already but that is not to say that Brown will not be a factor in the years to come.

From Fairburn, Georgia, Brown got offers from the SEC, Pac-12, the Ivy League as well as several Big Ten schools. He played mostly safety during his high school days but is on the depth chart as a cornerback now.

Brown will be a redshirt sophomore this fall and will be competing to see the field for the first time since coming to State College. He had 17 interceptions during his high school career so you know he will be looking to make a play, even if he is on special teams initially with the Lions.

During his recruitment Brown was as decisive as could be, considering that he had dozens of offers. He took a trip to State College on April 15, when he got the offer from James Franklin, and committed ten days later.

Just 24 more days to kickoff!
