Penn State performed about as well as you could’ve hoped for against Idaho on Saturday in Beaver Stadium.

The Nittany Lions dominated all three facets of the game and left the media, local and national, with plenty to talk about.

Our own Tim Aydin gave his week one position grades and, unsurprisingly, the Nittany Lions made the honor roll.

Despite playing a pay game far from home, Idaho coach Paul Petrino said that the 79-7 loss was a bit of a hit to his team’s pride.

After taking a blow to the head late in the first half, star tight end Pat Freiermuth did not return to the game. The latest update on his health was not much of an update at all, per Victory Bell Rings.

BSD’s Chris Taylor comes in hot with some stats, news and notes from the historic victory.

Chip Patterson of CBS Sports speculates that after the big win, the Nittany Lions could be moving up in the polls.

The Centre Daily Times talks about how debuting quarterback Sean Clifford overcame early nerves to put in an impressive performance.

Jon Sauber and Lauren Muthler joined Josh Moyer of the CDT to give their biggest surprises of the week one blowout.

Lastly, PennLive’s Greg Pickel gives his biggest takeaways from a game where the Nittany Lions had more sacks than first downs allowed.
