With Devin Willock about to commit in early July, Penn State threw its hat in the ring with an offer to Willock on June 26. The offer was enough for Willock to push off his scheduled commitment date, and he later visited Happy Valley on July 27 for the Lasch Bash. Willock took a couple weeks after to mull his options, but in the end, he went with the Nittany Lions, making the call for Penn State earlier tonight.
With Aaryn Parks and Grant Toutant out of the class — and with a couple SEC programs sniffing around current commit RJ Adams — it only made sense that Penn State would be in the market for more offensive linemen. Willock and his 360-pound frame will have some work to do on the conditioning side of things, but he’s a big kid (you can’t teach 6-foot-7) who could act as a Chasz Wright type player — just a massive human being who can play a number of spots along the offensive line.
