Yep, Kinnick at night.

The news that many Penn State fans assumed was inevitable was finally made official - Penn State’s week seven contest at Iowa is slated for 7:30 p.m. Yes, the Nittany Lions will playing a game in Kinnick Stadium under the lights, which seems to give the Hawkeyes the supernatural ability to play at a level far higher than you will see on any Saturday afternoon.

Iowa is currently ranked #14 with a 4-0 record, beating Miami(OH), Iowa State, Rutgers and Middle Tennessee State to start the season. They are ranked fourth in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 8.5 games. However, the Nittany Lions are one spot ahead of them, giving up 7.5 points per contest.

The Hawkeyes face #19 Michigan on Saturday, giving them the opportunity to move up in the polls with a win. The game will be played at noon Saturday, the same timeslot Penn State faces off with Purdue.

An unranked Iowa squad nearly pulled off a massive upset against #4 Penn State the last time they met in Kinnick two years ago. Despite the Nittany Lions dominance on the stat sheet, Iowa kept finding ways to stick around before taking a late lead. Fortunately, Penn State pulled off a dramatic drive that led to one of the most thrilling conclusions in recent memory:

This year’s contest will be televised on ABC, FS1 or BTN, with an announcement coming at a later date- most likely on Sunday.
