Penn State defensive end Daniel Joseph will be entering the transfer portal, as reported by Cole Cubelic, an analyst for the SEC Network.
Joseph will have one year of eligibility remaining after playing regularly for the Nittany Lions during the past three seasons. He took a redshirt season in 2016 as a true freshman.
The Ontario native contributed seven tackles with two TFLs and 1.5 sacks in 2019 as a reserve defensive end. He accumulated 30 tackles, six TFLs, 5.5 sacks a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during his Nittany Lions career. Joseph was expected to be a key reserve once again in 2020.
Joseph entered Penn State as a four-star prospect with offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa and Stanford, among many others. He may still return to play for Penn State in 2020 despite entering the transfer portal.
Best of luck to Daniel wherever he ultimately plays this fall.
