BSD’s recruiting staff sat down for a roundtable on each prospect Penn State signed in the 2020 class. Coming in at No. 9 was four-star DE/LB Zuriah Fisher.

What makes you excited about Zuriah Fisher?

“There are few players in this class I am higher on than Fisher. I have been driving his hype train for nearly a year now, and I will not stop any time soon. He has the length and frame to play defensive end, to go with the atheltcitism and ball skills to play linebacker. Fisher’s senior film is some of the best of any player in this class. Regardless if it is as a linebacker or defensive end, Fisher will become one of the best players on Brent Pry’s defense one day.” --Marty

What worries you about Zuriah Fisher?

“Is Fisher a linebacker? Is he an end? What’s his elite skill? Right now, Penn State has a fantastic athlete with good size, but they’re going to have to mold him into what they envision for him.” --Clay

Do you think Zuriah Fisher will be redshirted next season? Around what point of his career do you think he pushes for meaningful playing time?

“Although James Franklin has said that Fisher will start out at linebacker, I would be pretty surprised if he isn’t moved down to defensive end by the start of the season; a la Nick Tarburton. With that being the case, it’s tough to envision the scenario where Fisher is ready to make an impact at defensive end, so I am going redshirt here. Fisher won’t be long for the sideline though, as he has the talent to break into the rotation in 2021 as a redshirt freshman.” --Patrick

What is your projection for Zuriah Fisher: depth provider, starter, multi-year starter, all-conference, all-american?

Clay: Starter
Marty: All-conference
Patrick: Multi-year starter

Lastly, where do you have Zuriah Fisher ranked in Penn State’s class?

Clay: 11th
Marty: 5th
Patrick: 11th
