The Nittany Lions are back in the AP poll! When the poll was announced, the Lions came ranked No. 24 in the country. Wins against Ohio State and Michigan in the past week, combined with a number of losses in the back of the rankings, gave Penn State the room it needed to find its way in the rankings.

The Nittany Lions join a select group to own road wins against teams not named Nebraska and Northwestern, which have been hard to come by this season. Other Big Ten teams ranked in this week’s poll include the Michigan State Spartans at 14, Maryland Terrapins at 15, Iowa Hawkeyes at 18, Illinois Fighting Illini at 19, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights at 25. With six teams, the Big Ten has the most ranked teams of any conference in the AP poll.

Welcome back to the rankings, Nittany Lions!
