Only Ellis Brooks Until Penn State Football

Less than two weeks to go!

NCAA Football: Pittsburgh at Penn State Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

With Jan Johnson having graduated, it’s now Ellis Brooks’ turn to man the middle at the “Mike” linebacker spot. After 39 tackles (four for a loss), two-and-a-half sacks, and a fumble recovery in 2019, Ellis is ready step up his game in 2020, as he leads arguably the deepest position group on the roster for Brent Pry’s defense. But hey, don’t take my word for it: Ellis himself was pretty gung-ho on ‘Linebacker U’ back in the Summer.

Rocking the No. 13 jersey the offensive side of the ball will be wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith. A former blue-chip recruit and early enrollee in January, KLS (as some folks on the PSU Internet have already named him for short) has reportedly shown plenty of promise and will have every chance to earn his share of playing time, given that Jahan Dotson is the only proven returning receiver at this juncture.
