With Micah Parsons deciding to opt out of the 2020 season, Penn State’s linebacking corps will be debuting new starters at all three linebacker spots. Expected to be amongst those new starters is Brandon Smith. The former five-star out of Virginia was featured primarily on special teams last year, but when he did see action at the linebacker spot, he sure didn’t disappoint. In a preview of what may be to come throughout this season, let’s take a look back at his crushing hit in the time’s glorified scrimmage against Idaho last year. A hit that brought C.J. Thorpe to his knees.
