James Franklin's weekly news conference beginning now. He says RB Noah Cain will be out for the remainder of the 2020 season.

James Franklin announced in his press conference that running back Noah Cain will be out for the rest of the season with a lower leg injury. With Journey Brown already out for an indefinite period of time, the Nittany Lions find themselves relying on Devyn Ford for the foreseeable future.
With Brown out, Cain was slated to take considerable snaps this season, which will now all go to Ford. Luckily, the Nittany Lions have Keyvone Lee and Caziah Holmes at the ready, two highly touted backs out of high school in their own right. Penn State will be relying on these freshmen much more heavily now that the depth at the position has taken a sudden hit.
On the other hand, if any one position was slated to withstand the heavy burden of a college football season, especially one in 2020’s landscape, it was the running back position. What we didn’t expect is for that depth to be tested a week into the season.
We’re wishing Noah Cain a speedy recovery, and here’s to a breakout 2021 season!
