Penn State Football Commits in Action: Future Nittany Lions Continue to Shine as Playoffs Begin

While it was not a successful weekend on the field for the Nittany Lions, it was a successful weekend for future Nittany Lions

Wide receiever Liam Clifford and the St. Xavier Bombers picked up a playoff victory in the state of Ohio on Friday night by a score of 56-28. In the victory, Clifford caught 5 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Staying in the state of Ohio, fellow wide receiever Kaden Saunders continued to impress. In a 42-10 playoff victory for Westerville South, Saunders caught 4 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. He also had a pick-6 on defense.

In the state of Michigan, Cass Tech remained undefeated with a playoff victory. Future Nittany Lion cornerback Kalen King had a pick-6 and a fumble return for a touchdown in the victory. His twin borther, and future Penn State linebacker, Kobe rushed for 113 yards and a score. You can checkout Kalen’s highlights from the game, and Kobe’s from the first 6 games of the season, below.

Back home in Pennsylvania, it was a busy weekend.

Quarterback Beau Pribula and the Central York Panthers improved to 6-0 on the season by running over Dallastown 75-0. In the game, Pribula was 10/19 for 191 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pribula also rushed for a touchdown, giving him 29 total touchdowns on the season.

Offensive tackle Drew Shelton and the Downingtown West Whippets defeated Avon Grove 46-0 for their first victory of the season. Shelton’s blocking helped pave the way for 330 rushing yards for the Whippets.

2021 offensive line commit Nate Bruce and the Harrisburg Cougars were victorious twice in the past week defeating Williamsport and State College. You can check out Bruce’s latest highlight from the season below.

Wide receiver Lonnie White and Malvern Prep kicked off their season with a 35-0 victory over Salesianum High School from Delaware. In the victory, White hauled in 6 passes for 152 yards.

Kicker Sander Sahaydak and the Liberty Hurricanes were defeated by Nazareth High School to fall to 0-4 on the season. Sahaydak did not attempt an extra point or a field goal in the loss.

Tight end Khalil Dinkins and North Allegheny remained undefeated with a 35-0 victory over Canon-McMillan. In the victory, Dinkin had an 11-yard touchdown catch for the Tigers.

After two weeks off, defensive end Rodney McGraw and the Elkhart Lions will kick off the playoffs in the state of Indiana this Friday.
