Another week of college football is miraculously upon us and despite a good amount of games being cancelled or postponed this weekend, we still have plenty of football to watch. In this week’s version of BSDegenerates, we have six Big Ten games on the table plus two non-conference games and a three prop bets for Penn State vs Nebraska.
Let’s not waste too much time this week, here’s our predictions...
Iowa vs Minnesota (PK): Both teams picked up their first wins of the season last weekend in blowouts but which team will grab win No.2?
Chris: Iowa 27 - Minnesota 24
Lando: Iowa 24 - Minnesota 21
Marty: Iowa 28 - Minnesota 24
Jared: Iowa 27 - Minnesota 21
Dylan: Minnesota 27 - Iowa 24
Eli: Minnesota 38 - Iowa 31
Wisconsin vs Michigan (-3): The biggest question surrounding this game is IF quarterback Graham Mertz will play. He’ll be allowed to practice for the first time on Friday since being diagnosed with COVID three weeks ago. If he plays, this could be a comfortable victory for Wisconsin, if not, watch out for the Wolverines.
Chris: Wisconsin 28 - Michigan 14
Lando: Wisconsin 27 - Michigan 20
Marty: Wisconsin 24 - Michigan 14
Jared: Wisconsin 28 - Michigan 17
Dylan: Wisconsin 20 - Michigan 17
Eli: Wisconsin 45 - Michigan 10
Clay:
Northwestern vs Purdue (-2): Northwestern is a top the Big Ten West but their underdogs on the road to Purdue this weekend. The Boilermakers have looked solid early on and have one of the best wide revivers in the country, no not Rondale Moore but sophomore David Bell.
Chris: Purdue 27 - Northwestern 24
Lando: Northwestern 28 - Purdue 24
Marty: Northwestern 20 - Purdue 18
Jared: Northwestern 23 - Purdue 20
Dylan: Northwestern 30 - Purdue 23
Eli: Purdue 27 - Northwestern 20
Clay:
Illinois - Rutgers (-7): For the first time since 2014, the Scarlet Knights are a favorite in a conference game. They look much improved under Greg Schiano, will that improve play once again show up against a depleted Illinois team?
Chris: Rutgers 35 - Illinois 21
Lando: Rutgers 34 - Illinois 28
Marty: Rutgers 27 - Illinois 17
Jared: Rutgers 27 - Illinois 17
Dylan: Rutgers 30 - Illinois 23
Eli: Rutgers 31 - Illinois 21
Clay:
Penn St (-4) vs Nebraska: Lol...
Chris: Nebraska 35 - Penn State 24
Lando: Nebraska 31 - Penn State 28
Marty: Nebraska 24 - Penn State 14
Jared: Nebraska 28 - Penn State 20
Dylan: Nebraska 31 - Penn State 23
Eli: Penn State 56 - Nebraska 17
Clay:
To go along with the Penn State game this weekend, we’re doing a trio of prop bets for the game since three of original games chosen this week have ultimately been cancelled. FWIW, all the numbers chosen for these prop bets are completely arbitrary. Each prop bet is worth three extra points, for a potential total of nine points. Those prop bets are;
- Over/Under: Sean Clifford passing yards: 275
- Over/Under: Penn State rushing yards: 120.5
- Over/Under: Plays of 20+ yards by Nebraska: 3.5
Here is how we bet these props;
Chris: Over, Under, Over
Lando: Over, Over, Over
Marty: Under, Over, Under
Jared: Over, Over, Over
Dylan: Over, Under, Over
Eli: Over, Over, Over
Clay:
Indiana (-9) vs MSU: #9wIndiana is a real thing folks and I’m not sure how they’re only this small of a favorite of Michigan State.
Chris: Indiana 42 - MSU 14
Lando: Indiana 38 - MSU 17
Marty: Indiana 35 - MSU 10
Jared: Indiana 28 - MSU 17
Dylan: Indiana 34 - MSU 17
Eli: Indiana 35 - MSU 7
Clay:
VA Tech (-2) vs Miami: This is another interesting line, Virginia Tech coming off a loss to Liberty while Miami is knocking on the door of a top-10 ranking. Sure, they haven’t dominated since their loss to Clemson, but they’re still picking up victories.
Chris: Miami 24 - VT 21
Lando: VT 24 - Miami 21
Marty: Miami 30 - VT 24
Jared: Miami 24 - VT 16
Dylan: Miami 38 - VT 24
Eli: Miami 31 - VT 24
Clay:
UTSA (-6) vs UTEP: I have no insight on this game, I’ll be honest but I am a big fan of UTSA running back Sincere McCormick.
Chris: UTSA 35 - UTEP 21
Lando: UTSA 28 - UTEP 24
Marty: UTSA 21 - UTEP 20
Jared: UTEP 30 - UTSA 24
Dylan: UTSA 27 - UTEP 20
Eli: UTSA 37 - UTEP 20
Clay:
