NEW 2021 OFFERS GO OUT
As Penn State continues to work to fill out their 2021 recruiting class, a trio of new offers went out in the past week. We will start with a new running back offer which was extended to Deshun Murrell.
Truly honored and blessed to receive my 43rd FULL Division 1 Scholarship Offer from Penn State University Isaiah 57:2 #TOGODBETHEGLORY pic.twitter.com/k0rBnX8Rut

Murrell hails from Centreville, Alabama, and is currently committed to UCLA. Murrell is putting together a huge senior season in which his recruiting stock has started to rise. As Penn State starts to emphasize looking for a running back in their 2021 class, Murrell will be a name worth monitoring. It is safe to assume that if Penn State was not confident in their ability to flip Murrell then they would not have extended an offer.
Penn State also extended another offensive tackle offer. This offer went out to Texas native Austin Uke.
#AGTG After a great talk with @CoachTrautFB I’m extremely grateful to announce that I’ve received an offer to play Big 10 football at Penn State!!! #WeAre @coachnovakov @BSublet @CoachJHeath @That_Boi_Dhawk @CoachMack28 pic.twitter.com/Tm5aPMz2qL

Uke is currently committed to Holy Cross. While Uke is committed to Holy Cross his recruitment has started to take off in recent weeks. Since November 6th, USC and Florida State have also offered Uke in addition to the Nittany Lions.
Defensive end was the other position where the Nittany Lions extended another new offer. This offer was extended to Florida native Deonte Anderson.

Anderson is currently a composite three-star recruit on 247Sports, but 247Sports rates him as a four-star prospect. From watching Anderson’s film, it is easy to see why. With Penn State’s need at defensive end it would be great to see them get involved in Anderson’s recruitment.
PENN STATE MAKES FOUR-STAR 2022 DEFENSIVE END’S FINAL FOUR
Four-star 2022 defensive end Isaac Hamm has released his final four schools. This list included the Nittany Lions.

Hamm is a native of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. He is also good friends with Penn State tight end commit Jerry Cross. While the Badgers appear to be the leaders for Hamm, the Nittany Lions may be the school currently running second in this recruitment.
2022 RUNNING BACK’S TOP GROUP
2022 Ohio running back Gi’Bran Payne has released his top group and this top group includes the Nittany Lions.

Payne is a four-star prospect who has long been on the radar for the Nittany Lions. It appears that Penn State will look to take two running backs in 2022, so Payne is a name that fans should monitor moving forward. Due to JaJuan Seider, as is always the case with a running back recruit, the Nittany Lions should find themslves among the upper half of Payne’s schools throughout his recruitment.
