Penn State Depth Chart Week 5: Iowa

What changes await the Hawkeyes in Happy Valley?

NCAA Football: Maryland at Penn State Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

This season certainly isn’t developing the way most would have desired, but the team has not given up and continues to fight. There were sparks of possibility last week and I wouldn’t write these guy off yet. There are a couple adjustments on the offensive side of the ball for the contest against Iowa. Most notable though is not a change at all, Sean Clifford is still listed above Will Levis at quarterback, but I don’t think it will shock anyone if we see Levis get a chance to start the game this week. Will Fries slides to right guard replacing C.J. Thorpe, while Caedan Wallace assumes the top line at right tackle with Olu Fashanu making an appearance behind him and Bryce Effner on the depth chart. Daniel George also moves back in front of KeAndre Lambert-Smith at wide receiver. Defensively, everything remains listed as it has been. If both sides of the ball can avoid digging themselves a hole that they have to climb out of in the second half, perhaps the Hawkeyes can be the first win on the schedule.
