(#7)Cincinnati at UCF
3:30 p.m., ESPN
It’s the same time as Penn State-Iowa, but this should be a high scoring affair that ends well after the final whistle at Beaver Stadium. Two of the nation’s most high-octane offenses collide in a huge match-up, as Cincinnati keeps its hopes alive to crash the playoffs. What better year for it to happen, right?
Prediction: Cincinnati-49, UCF-40
Mississippi State at (#13)Georgia
7:30 p.m., SECN
It’s an interesting clash of contrasts as one of the nation’s top defenses faces off with a Mike Leach offense. The only problem? Mississippi’s State’s offense has a long ways to go before it strikes fear in opponents. In a four-game losing streak that was recently snapped, the Bulldogs scored 14, 2, 14, and 0 points. They are likely to turn a corner at some point, so maybe they can catch a down Georgia team coming off a loss.
Prediction: Georgia-20, Mississippi State-13
(#14)Oklahoma State at (#18)Oklahoma
7:30 p.m., ABC
This is the ABC prime time game for a reason - two bitter rivals facing off in a game with huge implications on the Big 12 race. Oklahoma has been on a roll since its mystifying 0-2 start to the season. Meanwhile. Oklahoma State is trying to figure out how to get its offense - which was expected to be one of the nation’s best - back on track somehow.
Prediction: Oklahoma-37, Oklahoma State-27
(#20)USC at Utah
10:30 p.m., ESPN
USC has been by far the most entertaining team of the last two weeks, with two dramatic come-from-behind victories in the final seconds. Perhaps the experience will help them reach 3-0 against a talented Utah team that will be finally playing its first game of the season of two straight cancellations.
Prediction: USC-27, Utah-24
Boise State at Hawaii
11 p.m., CBSSN
The last opportunity of the week to watch college football before patiently waiting for Tuesday night #MACtion (GO FLASHES!).
Prediction: Boise State-38, Hawaii-26
