In a move that was largely expected, Will Levis was announced as the starting quarterback during the starter introductions just a few minutes before the Iowa game.

A redshirt sophomore, Levis finished out the Nebraska game last week as the Nittany Lions found themselves down 24-3. While Levis’ stats weren’t all that impressive, Penn State had little problem moving the ball — and, perhaps most importantly, didn’t turn the ball over.
Penn State fans have clamored for James Franklin to go with the backup quarterback. Finally, the fans have been given what they asked for. We’ll see if Levis is the guy.
