This tweet below sums up just how dismal of a time it is to be a Penn State sports fan:
The last time Penn State won an athletic competition of *any* kind was March 10, when men's lacrosse beat Furman 22-7.
— David Eckert (@davideckert98) November 22, 2020
Thankfully, a few days after that tweet, Carolyn Kieger’s Lady Lion basketball squad walloped Coppin State in their season opener, finally giving PSU athletics a taste of victory for the first time in eight months.
While the football team is looking better than expected so far, today would sure be a good day for the men’s basketball team to follow their female counterparts and earn interim coach Jim Ferry his first dub at PSU against former PSU star Dan Earl’s VMI squad.
Tip-off is at 1:00 PM ET on BTN-Plus, so if you’re looking to see a Penn State sports ball team actually win a game today and are willing to pay $9.99 (I believe they give you a free 7-day sign up if you’re new) then do check in.
Per usual, the open thread rules apply: No porn, no politics/religion, no links to streams other than BTN’s, and please be kind to one another, mmkay?
