Penn State is in the midst of the worst season in program history, but Michigan still sucks.
Things are going from bad to worse for the Wolverines, while down in Columbus things are on the brink of catastrophe. Though we aren’t quite there yet, the question has been posed: Can Ohio State make the playoffs without a Big Ten Championship Game appearance? I think we all know the answer.
Speaking of wrong calls, Big Ten officiating remains undefeated. The call didn’t seem to make sense in the moment, and we probably won’t get the clarification we’re seeking.
Regardless, Saturday’s win somehow puts the Nittany Lions back in contention for a bowl game, though there’s still plenty to be done in order to get to one.
That will begin this Saturday with a not-so-rivalrous matchup with Rutgers in a battle of historic and newfound basement dwellers. While the Nittany Lions have plummeted to the basement this year, the Scarlet Knights seem to be fighting their way out.
