The Battle for the Land Grant Trophy is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, as Penn State and Michigan State prepare for battle in Beaver Stadium.
The Spartans enter the game with a 2-4 record, coming off a 52-12 blowout loss against the Buckeyes. Previously, they had upset Northwestern 29-20, handing the then-#8 Wildcats their first defeat of the season.
Penn State handled the Spartans 28-7 on a rainy afternoon in East Lansing when the teams met in 2019, with Sean Clifford accounting for all four touchdowns through the air. Of the four touchdown strikes, three went to tight end Pat Freiermuth, who is out for the remainder of the season.
The game will be televised on ESPN. This will be the final regular season game for both teams, ahead of the crossover game with opponents yet to be determined on December 19.
