Alrighty, folks: It’s February 1st and the team is sitting pretty in all of the bracketology websites after avoiding the dreaded January collapse! If the team is able to continue peaking through this month like they have the past couple of seasons, then great things still lie ahead. For now though, let’s hope the team takes care of business tonight on the road against a Nebraska team that while residing in the conference’s basement, is still a pesky bunch and has already pounced on a couple of better teams on their home court.
This game (along with the upcoming home-and-home series with Northwestern) should be considered an absolute must-win, since it is a Quadrant 3 game according to the NET rankings, and losses in these types of games tend to be considered “bad” for a team’s NCAA Tournament resume. The epic choke job against Ole Miss remains PSU’s only bad loss this season, since the Rebels are now considered a Q3 loss. Let’s hope it stays that way after tonight’s game.
As always, the typical open thread rules apply: No porn, no politics/religion, no links to illegal streams of the game, and just be kind to one another, mmkay?
