After years of repeating the mantra, Penn State basketball has climbed to a level that’s garnering attention nation-wide. Wins at then-No. 16 Michigan State Spartans, and at home versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers, have Penn State now riding a 6-game conference winning-streak, their best ever in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions are now the second-highest ranked team in the Big Ten behind Maryland.
As things currently stand in the NET rankings Penn State has a total of 5 opportunities for Quadrant 1 wins in their 8 remaining games in the regular season. That gives them ample opportunities to continue to rise the ranks leading into March Madness.
POLL ALERT: Preseason No. 1 Michigan State drops out of AP Top 25; Baylor, Gonzaga top poll, Seton Hall up to No. 10, Penn State jumps to No. 13.
