UPDATE: It turns out that Bruce has *NOT* de-committed and remains part of the Nittany Lions recruiting class.
On Sunday morning, Penn State’s 2021 recruiting class dropped from three commits to two. This occurred when three-star offensive lineman Nate Bruce re-opened his recruitment.

The Harrisburg native was the second member of the Penn State’s 2021 class, committing to the Nittany Lions back in October. With the departure of Bruce from the class, the Nittany Lions are left with just tight end Nick Elksnis and wide receiver Liam Clifford as members of the class.
This news certainly came as a surprise. Bruce had been working as a peer recruiter and was on campus earlier this month. On this visit he met new offensive line coach Phil Trautwein for the first time.
In his de-committment Tweet, Bruce said Penn State is still his top school at the moment. So, the relationship between the Nittany Lions and Bruce is one that may not be completely severed.
Best of luck to Nate moving forward.
