The world may not be ending, but it appears sports certainly are.
At least for the forseeable future as the Big Ten came down with a stunning announcement, amidst the swell of announcements elsewhere, that it was canceling all conference and non-conference competitions through the end of the 2019-20 academic year.
For Penn State, this not only means that hockey, basketball and wrestling will miss out on the postseason, but also that lacrosse, field hockey, men’s volleyball and other spring sports will cease competition immediately.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Penn State just prior to the Big Ten’s announcement, seemingly made their own decision to have any sporting event for the remainder of the school year.
