Only Nick Bowers Until Penn State Football

We’re 83 days from the start of a new football season!

We’re less than 12 weeks away from the start of a new Penn State football season. It looks like the 2020 team will not have a #83 on the roster, giving us an opportunity to look back at the recently graduated Nick Bowers.

Bowers arrived at Penn State in 2015, taking a redshirt season. Unfortunately, he missed the 2016 Big Ten Championship season due to injury, but was able to return to action the next season with his very first career reception resulting in a touchdown against Nebraska.

Bowers was named Academic All-Big Ten the next two seasons, and was selected for the Tim Shaw Thrive Award, given to a student-athlete who had overcome adversities and worked to inspire fellow teammates. His senior season was his most successful year on the field in Happy Valley, catching 10 passes for 214 yards and three scores, while starting two games.

Now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, Bowers is preparing for training camp as he hopes to play on Sundays this fall.

We’re just 83 days until the start of the 2020 Penn State Football season!
