His name is Judge.
Judge Culpepper is preparing to for a much larger role with the Wild Dogs in 2020. The redshirt sophomore will enter the season as the primary reserve behind PJ Mustipher, and will see plenty of time as part of the regular rotation. Culpepper appeared in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman, contributing two tackles and 0.5 sacks. It’s safe to say those numbers will increase by a wide margin this fall.
Culpepper made a strong impression on the Penn State coaching staff even before seeing the field for the first time, being selected as the Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year Award as a true freshman. He also picked up Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2019.
Culpepper is part of a growing legion of Nittany Lions who come from the Sunshine State, as James Franklin and co. continue to expand their recruiting territory.
We’re just 77 days until the start of the 2020 Penn State Football season!
