Des Holmes joined Penn State as part of the 2017 recruiting class, wherein he was a 3-star prospect out of Springfield, PA. After redshirting in 2017, Des saw the field in 2018, where he appeared in five games both on offense and special teams.

In 2019, Holmes saw time in all 13 games, and was named the coaching staff’s Offensive Player of the Week following the Indiana game. For 2020, Des is set to back up Rasheed Walker at left tackle, so expect to see his name a lot this coming season.
