Steven Gonzalez joined Penn State with the 2015 recruiting class as a 4-star prospect. Hailing from Union City, NJ, Gonzo redshirted in 2015 before seeing the field in 2016 in 11 games, with three starts.

From there, Steven would start all 39 games between the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons. A stalwart at left guard, Gonzalez racked up accolades over the course of his time with the Lions. He was named first-team All-Big Ten by Pro Football Focus in 2017, honorable-mention All-Big Ten by coaches and media in 2018, and second-team All-Big Ten by coaches, media, the AP, and Phil Steele.

While Gonzalez did not get drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, he has signed a rookie contract with the Arizona Cardinals, and will be competing for a career on Sundays. Best of luck Gonzo!
