The Forward from Cameroon has finally enrolled with the university.

Penn State got much needed good news after learning that Abdou Tsimbila will be joining the Nittany Lions for the 2020-21 season. The Forward from Cameroon was supposed to join the team along with Seth Lundy and Patrick Kelly, but complications with the enrollment process kept him away from the team for the past year. With those sorted out, Abdou can finally play with the team he committed to in July of 2018, almost to the day.

Listed at 6-foot-8, Tsimbila provides the kind of depth the Nittany Lions had badly needed coming into this season, as the only player with experience at the 5 is John Harrar. Prior to Abdou’s arrival, the theoretical backups to Harrar would have been Trent Buttrick and the aforementioned Kelly. Tsimbila will add another capable player to that rotation, giving the Lions a little bit of extra height to play with.

That is, of course, if there actually is a season to be played this year.

Welcome to Penn State, Abdou!
