Will Lamar Stevens be the second player in the Pat Chambers era to get selected in the NBA Draft? We don’t know the answer to that yet, but that dream got just a little closer for Penn State do everything guy Lamar Stevens, who, along with a slew of Big Ten talent, was selected to the 2020 NBA Draft Combine. The coronavirus pandemic has moved the event, which usually takes place in the summer, to October 15 this year. The last Penn State player to make the NBA combine was Tony Carr after his sophomore season in 2018.
A two-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, Lamar opted to return for his senior season after testing the NBA Draft waters last year. While his senior season will always come with an asterisk, the rewards are starting to come in for all the effort he put in while in college.
Good luck in the draft, Lamar!
