FOUR-STAR 2021 DEFENSIVE LINE TARGET SET TO COMMIT
On Saturday, four-star defensive tackle Kelvin Gilliam will announce his college decision. Unfortunately, it appears the long time target will choose the Oklahoma Sooners who hold all 10 of Gilliam’s crystal ball predictions on 247Sports.
There is no way around it, this would be a huge miss for the Nittany Lion coaching staff. Gilliam has been the staff’s top defensive tackle target dating back to when Sean Spencer was the defensive line coach. When John Scott Jr. took over, he continued to pursue Gilliam, and Gilliam has even raved about the relationship he had with Scott Jr.
Missing out on Gilliam will be yet another miss in the 2021 cycle for the Nittany Lions. Thankfully, the 2022 class is off to a roaring start.
FOUR-STAR 2022 DEFENSIVE TARGET RELEASES TOP 7
Philadelphia native Ken Talley has released his top 7 schools. To no surprise, this group includes the Nittany Lions.

Talley is set to announce his college decision on September 8th. Right now, Penn State holds each of the crystal ball predictions for Talley on 247Sports. While he could play linebacker or defensive end at the collegiate level, he projects as a linebacker for the Nittany Lions.
NEW OFFERS
Two new offers have gone out to 2022 prospects. The prospects on the receiving end of these offers were defensive end Jihaad Campbell and wide receiver Isaiah Sategna.

Thank you @CoachStubbs for offering me a full ride scholarship to play football at Penn State University. @PennStateFball pic.twitter.com/4b7Mdkw8tZ
— Isaiah Sategna (@isaiahsategna1) August 17, 2020
Campbell attends Timber Creek High School in Sicklerville, New Jersey. The Nittany Lions join a quickly growing offer list for Campbell that also includes Clemson, Florida, Michigan, and Texas, among others. With Campbell being an in-region kid, when visits resume look for him to make his way to campus.
Sategna hails from Fayetteville, Arkansas. Penn State became his 7th Power 5 offer. This offer was, likely, one geared toward gauging Sategna’s potential interest in the Nittany Lions. Early on in a recruiting cycle, you will see offers like this to gauge interest.
