The day that we had been counting down to...and then stopped counting...and then resumed counting....and then stopped counting again...will be here Saturday. Unfortunately, Penn State will not be playing this fall, but there is still college football scheduled to be played this weekend. While the thought of any college football this fall seemed improbable, it’s already underway with Saturday’s clash between Central Arkansas and Austin Peay.
Central Arkansas will be back in action on Thursday for a game with UAB, while Saturday features a triple-header of Eastern Kentucky-Marshall (1 p.m.), SMU-Texas State (4:30 p.m.) and Memphis-Arkansas State (8 p.m.). The action gets a bit more interesting on Labor Day evening, with BYU visiting Navy for a battle under the lights.
So are you excited to watch some college football, or are you having a hard time getting interested with no Penn State games on the schedule? If you do plan on watching, what games would you recommend? If not, what are your reasons?
