Only Paul Posluszny Until Penn State Football

The countdown to the return of Penn State football is (at least for now) back!

Last month, we learned the Big Ten planned to play a conference only schedule this fall. After a few weeks of waiting, we now know the planned schedule for each team. All of this, of course, is COVID permitting.

The Nittany Lions will still kick off their 2020 campaign on September 5th. However, they will now open the season against Northwestern instead of Kent State. With kick off set for September 5th that means Penn State football is (hopefully) just 31 days away.

When Penn State fans think of the number 31 most of them will think of one of the best linebackers in the history of Lienbacker U - Paul Posluszny. Poz finished his Penn State career as a two-time All-American, Bednarik Award winner and first-team All-Big Ten performer. He also won the Butkus Award in 2005, and finished his career as Penn State’s all-time tackles leader.

After being selected in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, Poz went on to finish his NFL career with 1,200+ tackles. He was also a Pro Bowl selection in 2014.

31 days to go!
